Founded in 2005, Shenzhen HOBBYWING Technology Co., Ltd. researches, develops, manufactures and sells drone propulsion systems. Headquartered in Shenzhen, it operates a wholly owned subsidiary in Huizhou. HOBBYWING began with electronic speed controllers for model aircraft before expanding into UAV propulsion, with a range covering multirotor, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), fixed-wing and first-person-view (FPV) platforms.

HOBBYWING's UAV hardware includes motors, electronic speed controllers, propellers and integrated propulsion systems. Its range includes X-series integrated systems, H15MD and H15MD Plus coaxial systems for heavy-lift UAVs, V13823 and V13828 VTOL motors, and C-series motors for fixed-wing and VTOL cruise propulsion. The P65V 400V high-voltage propulsion system has been integrated into a long-endurance VTOL UAV with a maximum takeoff weight of up to 200 kg. Separately, the P115M 800V coaxial integrated propulsion system is designed specifically for tethered firefighting drones and heavy-lift cargo eVTOL platforms. Applications across the UAV range include agriculture, logistics, surveying, firefighting and emergency response. HOBBYWING propulsion systems also equip Explore Eagle's FS60E VTOL UAV, used for forest inspection, emergency search and rescue, offshore surveillance and flood-season river inspection.

Beyond UAVs, HOBBYWING offers power systems for RC aircraft, cars and boats, including the XeRun, EzRun, QuicRun, Platinum and SeaKing families. Its electric-vehicle power-system portfolio covers electric skateboards, scooters and motorcycles. UAV development work includes proprietary FOC/BLDC drive algorithms and a layered, modular electric-drive software platform introduced in 2023.
