Product overview
The HOBBYWING XRotor 2405 provides drone propulsion in three motor configurations: 1800KV, 2250KV and 2850KV. Its thin disc structure places the center of gravity low, while a CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame incorporates strengthened cross beams around a hollow alloy steel shaft extending through the motor. Concave anti-skid teeth and a bottom lock-up screw secure the rotor. Cooling comes from a one-piece eight-bladed centrifugal fan. Other construction features include a precisely balanced rotor, vacuum dip-coated 240°C heat-resistant windings, N54 magnets, 0.2mm silicon sheets and dedicated 4mm bearings.
All three configurations share a 30.8mm motor diameter, 5mm shaft diameter and 15.9mm length without the shaft, increasing to 29.4mm with it. Each has a 4S LiPo rating and maximum continuous current/power of 25A/420W. Recommended equipment comprises 5045 three-bladed or 6040 two-bladed propellers and an Xrotor Micro 30A BLHeli-S Dshot600 ESC or above. Maximum thrust of 1.58KG and a thrust-to-weight ratio up to 47.3:1 apply to the 2850KV motor with a 5040 three-bladed propeller and 3S LiPo, with associated testing at 12V. Weight is specified as 35.5g for each variant, alongside a separate 33.4g weight claim.
