Product overview
The HOBBYWING WiFi Express connects a compatible electronic speed controller to an iOS or Android phone running the HW LINK APP. Operators can adjust ESC parameters remotely, save parameter sets, export settings and share information. The app also supports ESC firmware updates from the phone. Its datalogging functions cover maximum ESC temperature, minimum battery voltage, maximum motor temperature and maximum motor speed, providing information about the power system’s operating state.
The hardware combines a compact case with a hardwired programming cable for connection to the ESC. It measures 25.7 × 25.7 × 8.8 mm and weighs 11 g, giving it a small physical footprint for connection around the controller. Working voltage is 5–12.6 V, with IEEE802.11 b/g/n wireless communication and an effective range of 0–10 m in an open field. A reset button on the underside of the case restores the module’s factory settings.
Integration covers selected XeRun and EzRun car ESCs, PLATINUM aircraft ESCs and SEAKING PRO boat ESCs, alongside other controllers compatible with the HOBBYWING multifunction LCD program box. Compatibility has a material limit: some models within the named series may not work with this module. For aircraft procurement, its role is therefore an ESC programming and maintenance accessory, with suitability dependent on the particular controller. The module carries product number 30503000.
