Product overview

The HOBBYWING XRotor Pro H100A 14S FOC is an electronic speed controller for integration into a drone propulsion system. Its FOC vector control provides linear throttle control and kinetic energy recovery. The controller accepts 12–14S power at 44–63V, with a continuous current rating of 40A under good heat dissipation and a peak rating of 120A for three seconds. Its operating temperature range is −20°C to 50°C, making electrical supply, cooling and installation temperature concrete constraints for propulsion integration.

The controller occupies 83 × 59 × 27.4mm and weighs 144.1g without wires. An integrated aluminum alloy shell and lightweight nano-coating provide IP55 protection, with IP67 available through customization. Large-area copper sheets and thermally conductive copper strips on the case fins form its heat dissipation construction. The standard throttle signal is isolated; a non-isolated version requires customization. Integration interfaces include CAN communication and PWM input at 5V/3.3V, with a 50–500Hz throttle frequency and an operating pulse width of 1100–1940µs. Throttle travel calibration is unavailable.

Optional propeller positioning uses a magnetic encoder to detect the stopped motor position and hold a chosen propeller orientation to reduce drag during gliding. This configuration requires a custom motor and motor-specific programming. Protection functions cover supply undervoltage and overvoltage, overcurrent and throttle signal loss, alongside power-on self-test and onboard fault storage. The black box function captures operating and temperature data for DataLinkBox analysis. The specified DataLink version is DataLinkBox G3; software updates use DATALINK box equipment, while flight-control remote upgrading is optional.
