Product overview
HOBBYWING presents the P50M as propulsion hardware for drone integration, with motor, electronic speed controller and carbon fiber composite propeller specifications. Procurement therefore concerns a propulsion subsystem rather than a complete flight platform or airframe kit. Its architecture isolates high-voltage power from low-voltage signals and incorporates protective earthing, including a common grounding connection between the motor mounting base and ESC housing. Installation planning should account for the 60 mm tube diameter, motor envelope, ESC dimensions including its connector, and propeller mounting pattern. The system, ESC and motor carry distinct protection ratings.
The published alternatives comprise 9KV and 11 KV motors and MSC 64x20 and USC 54x23 propellers; the load tables pair 9KV with MSC 64x20 and 11KV with USC 54x23. PWM+CAN digital throttle is supplied as the default interface, with PWM+RS485 and CAN+RS485 optional. Pulse-width calibration is unsupported. DataLink provides parameter, rotation-direction and LED-color adjustment, plus firmware updating; green is the default LED color. Performance assessment must retain the manufacturer's measurement context. Load data were collected at 25°C and sea level with varying throttle input; reported motor temperatures follow ten minutes at rated thrust and are reference values. The overload plots additionally assume good heat dissipation from both motor and ESC. Their time limits matter because exceeding an overload duration carries a high probability of irreversible failure, and the system does not automatically shut down. The specification lists 116 kg maximum thrust and 50kg recommended takeoff weight per axis, but does not assign its two recommended-weight efficiency values to individual configurations.
