Product overview
The HOBBYWING XRotor 2205 G2 is a drone propulsion motor offered in 2300KV and 2600KV versions, identified by product numbers 30405114 and 30405115. Its shallow disc structure has a low center of gravity and is 10% thinner than the G1. A CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame uses strengthened cross beams, while concave anti-skid teeth and a bottom locking screw retain the rotor. An eight-bladed centrifugal fan provides cooling, and the balanced rotor supports low vibration and noise during high-speed rotation.
Both versions have a 28.1mm motor diameter and 5mm shaft, with lengths of 15.8mm excluding the shaft and 29.2mm including it. Each specifies 4S LiPo operation and a maximum continuous rating of 25A/420W, alongside a recommended 30A, 3–4S ESC. Propeller recommendations differ by variant. Three 30mm-long 20AWG wires are included in the 27.5g weight description; a separate specification weight is 29.5g. Internal components include vacuum-dip-coated heat-resistant windings, N54 magnets, 0.2mm silicon sheets and 4mm bearings imported from Japan.
