The HOBBYWING Platinum HV 200A SBEC V4.1 is a high-voltage brushless electronic speed controller with helicopter-oriented speed governing and motor-start controls. Its 32-bit processor supports adjustable governing sensitivity, while variable-frequency soft start operates with adjustable throttle response time. The controller carries product number 30209101 and accepts a 6-14S LiPo input, with current ratings of 200A continuous and 300A peak. This SBEC configuration incorporates a switch-mode BEC adjustable from 5V to 8V in 0.1V steps, rated at 10A continuous and 30A peak.
The controller measures 105x50x36mm and weighs 325g. Its aluminum case assembly provides distinct heat paths: the power board uses the upper and medial cases, the control board uses holes in the medial case, and the bottom BEC board uses the lower case. The housing also has a hollowed-out design for heat dissipation and reduced weight. Supplied wiring consists of one red and one black 150mm 8AWG input lead, plus three black 150mm 10AWG output leads. Neither input nor output connectors are supplied.
The BEC supports a 2S backup battery connected in parallel and includes a buffer to enhance peak-current output. Its backflow circuit prevents servo or backup-battery voltage above the BEC voltage from feeding back into the BEC. A separate programming port supports an LCD Program Box, WiFi Module or OTA Programmer, and firmware upgrades are supported. Programming through a transmitter, LED Program Card or LED Program Box is unsupported. The controller also incorporates high-voltage MOSFETs and a spark-proof circuit for power-on spark suppression.
