Product overview
The HOBBYWING H15MD is a propulsion assembly for industrial UAVs undertaking material lifting, logistics transportation, emergency firefighting and other heavy-lift work. Its coaxial arrangement combines two rotors on each axis with an integrated motor, ESC and motor base assembly. The manufacturer describes a four-axis aircraft configuration with eight rotors and eight propellers, a maximum takeoff weight above 240 kg and suitable payloads of 100–150 kg. These figures apply to that configuration, with an explicit instruction to avoid overloading during material lifting. Six- and eight-axis layouts are also described.
Mechanical integration centers on an 80 mm arm tube, supplied aluminum liner sleeves, a four-way locking outer cuff and positioning collars. The overview offers 3 mm or 5 mm tube walls, while both current system specification rows list 3 mm; the selected mounting arrangement therefore needs confirmation. The motor base has a 3° tilt, and original non-folding, folding and high-altitude propellers are optional. Motor temperature monitoring is standard. Default intelligent propeller control supports vehicle-mounted directional propeller stopping, while PWM and CAN provide the stated control interfaces.
The current tables distinguish H15MD-18S and H15MD-24S through battery support, voltage ranges, assembly weights and ESC dimensions and currents. The H15MD-24S table lists 24S–28S LiPo support, whereas the overview says up to 24S; confirm the electrical configuration before integration. Assembly weights include cables and exclude propellers, and ESC throttle range calibration is unsupported. CAN supplies telemetry and log retrieval, with named controller integration examples requiring configuration confirmation. Published thrust tests are reference measurements at 25 °C and sea level with varying throttle input. Environmental and operating conditions affect flight results, and prolonged overload is strongly discouraged.
