Product overview
The HOBBYWING XRotor PRO 40A 3D is an electronic speed controller for 330-400 class 3D multirotors. Its core program targets rapid throttle response for hovering and flight movements, while Driving Efficiency Optimization supports the motor drive. A solid plastic case encloses the controller, and an aluminum folded-fin heat sink works with a heat-conductive slotted structure to dissipate heat. The 66.0x21.8x11.0mm, 50g unit can be installed inside a carbon-fiber tube with a 23mm internal diameter, giving integrators a defined packaging requirement.
The controller is rated at 40A continuous and 60A peak current with 3-6S LiPo batteries, and has no BEC output. Its wiring configuration comprises one red and one black 16AWG input lead, each 300mm long, plus three black 16AWG output leads measuring 75mm each. Input connectors are absent; the outputs use 3.5mm female gold connectors. DEO and timing are supported. Throttle range calibration, stick programming, OneShot mode, light color and motor rotation are listed as unsupported, limiting the available setup features.
