The HOBBYWING Platinum 25A V4 is a brushless aircraft electronic speed controller with a 72MHz, 32-bit processor and adjustable governor sensitivity. Its power stage uses synchronous rectification with Active Freewheeling. The controller measures 47x22x10mm and weighs 27g, defining its installation footprint and mass contribution. It accepts 3-6S LiPo input and carries ratings of 25A continuous and 40A peak. An integrated programmable switch-mode BEC supplies selectable 6V or 7.4V output, with the 25A model rated for 3A continuously and up to 7A momentarily.
The supplied wiring comprises red and black 100mm 16AWG power leads without a power connector, plus three black 100mm 18AWG motor leads with 3.5mm female gold connectors. A dedicated programming lead supports LCD-box, WiFi Express and OTA Programmer adjustment; transmitter, LED-card and LED-box programming are unsupported. Online firmware updates are supported, and live mobile data viewing uses WiFi Express. Reverse braking supports fixed-wing landing rollout control, alongside normal, proportional and brake-off modes. Protection functions cover startup, ESC and filter-capacitor overheating, overload, throttle-signal loss and abnormal input voltage.
