Product overview
The HOBBYWING XRotor H300A 24S FOC & BLDC V1 is a high-power electronic speed controller for heavy-lift UAVs and propulsion development and testing. It comes in BLDC and FOC variants. BLDC uses square-wave drive with plug-and-play operation, while FOC uses vector control and requires strict matching to motor parameters. Both accept 18–24S input over 54–104.4V. Their continuous-current rating is 120A with good heat dissipation, and maximum current is 300A for three seconds. The ambient temperature range is -20°C to 50°C.
The controller measures 213 × 71 × 61mm and weighs 1054.3g excluding wires. Its physical construction combines lightweight nano-coating with a one-piece aluminum-alloy enclosure. Stacked copper busbars, large PCB copper heat-spreading areas, conductive copper strips and enclosure fins provide its heat-dissipation structure. Protection is IP55, with IP67 available through customization. Shielded wiring and fully isolated throttle signals address interference. Both variants accept 5V/3.3V PWM signals at 50–500Hz, with pulse widths of 1100–1940μs. Neither variant provides propeller positioning.
BLDC permits throttle-range calibration and DEO switching; FOC has a fixed throttle range and no adjustable parameters. Both have a serial communication specification, and FOC also has CAN-bus communication with real-time flight-controller data exchange. Dual throttle is marked unsupported for both variants, alongside a separate optional PWM + CAN dual-throttle offering. Power-on self-test, electrical and throttle-signal-loss protections, and fault storage support operation and diagnosis. Firmware upgrades use DATALINK, USB LINK or CAN, with remote upgrading through a flight controller available as an option.
