The HOBBYWING H11MD combines a motor, sine-wave FOC electronic speed controller and 48-inch carbon-fiber propellers in an integrated propulsion set for industrial UAVs. Its intended applications include heavy-duty, long-endurance logistics and fire protection, with provision for vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The 100kg multirotor application refers specifically to a four-rotor, eight-propeller configuration. For mechanical integration, the powertrain specifies a 50mm arm tube outer diameter, a motor measuring φ120.1 × 55.2mm and a total weight of 4769g.
Electrical integration uses a recommended 14S battery and an ESC with a maximum input voltage of 65V. PWM accepts 3.3V/5V signal levels, 1100–1940μs throttle pulses and 50–500Hz signals; CAN provides communication and digital throttle. The PWM and CAN throttle paths back each other up and can switch in milliseconds. Real-time monitoring covers voltage, current, temperature and ESC status, while fault-code storage supports subsequent diagnosis after power failure. Firmware upgrades and configurable maintenance reminders are also supported.
The propulsion specifications give 57.5kg maximum thrust, 25–28kg thrust per rotor and 3100W maximum continuous rated output. Operating limits include -20°C to 50°C and IP45 ingress protection. ESC current ratings are 60A continuous and 150A maximum under non-hermetic conditions at ambient temperatures no higher than 60°C. The motor uses dual centrifugal fans for heat dissipation and dust prevention, waterproof ball bearings, heat-resistant magnets and wire rated above 200°C. Its lightweight iron core has anti-rust treatment described as capable of passing a 48-hour salt-spray test.
