The HOBBYWING RTF 100A 4in1 8S Lite AT combines four brushless motor-control channels in an ESC intended for 15–18 inch, four-axis FPV drones. Its specified electrical envelope is 4–8S LiPo input, with 100 A continuous and 120 A peak current per channel. An F421 main controller and MOSFET power components form the control and switching architecture, while two copper bars provide heat dissipation. This is a propulsion electronics component for integration into a drone.
The ESC measures 60 × 57 × 7 mm and weighs 38.3 g, defining its space and mass requirements within the aircraft. Damping grommets are fitted at the frame connection points to reduce transmitted vibration. Electrical integration uses an 8Pin-SH1.0 signal interface and two supplied 135 mm, 8 AWG input wires, one red and one black. There is no input connector, and motor outputs have solder tabs without wires. The solder pads use an immersion gold-plated, through-hole construction.
Control options include PWM, DShot300/600 and bidirectional DShot, with a specified driving frequency of 48 kHz. The ESC supports proprietary 32-bit firmware or AM32 and is compatible with BLHeliSuite configuration software. RPM filtering requires bidirectional DShot to be enabled and configuration through the flight controller’s PID tuning page. A supplied high-frequency, low-ESR capacitor requires soldering to the power leads for ripple and spike mitigation. An integrated TVS diode additionally suppresses bus voltage spikes during rapid braking and acceleration.
