Product overview
The AXR 8862 MG-D is a standard servo for RC steering, control surfaces and mechanisms. Its hardware combines a brushless motor, stainless steel gears and two bearings in a 40 × 20 × 40.4 mm package weighing 80 g. A 300 mm lead provides the electrical connection. Integration therefore involves accommodating the servo body and checking the mounting pattern and arm connection. The final mounting drawing and interface version matter because drawing and tabulated dimensions may use different datums.
The servo accepts a 4.8–8.4 V supply, with performance figures at 6, 7.4 and 8.4 V. Across those points, stall torque rises from 55 to 65 to 72 kg·cm, while no-load speed changes from 0.144 to 0.119 to 0.105 s/60°. At 8.4 V, running current is 0.54 A and stall current is 8.1 A. Rated torque is 25 kg·cm at that voltage. Load sizing must account for this rating and duty cycle because stall torque does not represent continuous loading.
Control uses PWM at 333 Hz. The pulse-to-angle relationship is 500 / 1500 / 2500 µs for -90 / 0 / 90°, while the separate reference pulse is 1520 µs. That difference makes neutral setting and usable travel specific integration checks for the controller and delivered servo version. Commissioning calls for a removed or limited load while checking centre, direction and travel, followed by gradual loading. The supply must accommodate transient current, and operation must avoid voltage drop, reversed connections and sustained contact with mechanical stops.
