Product overview
The BrotherHobby VY 2004 Ultralight Motor is a CW-designated propulsion component intended for sub-250g racing drones with 5-inch propellers. It is offered in four KV options with defined battery and propeller pairings: 1700KV and 1950KV for 6S operation, and 2100KV and 3150KV for 4S operation, each using a 5-inch propeller. Selection therefore depends on the intended battery configuration. The product is an individual motor for integration into a drone, rather than a flight platform or airframe-only kit.
The motor combines a 12N14P configuration, N52H magnets and a 0.15mm Nippon silicon-steel stator. Both the base casing and bell cap use Al 7075, while the Japanese NMB bearings measure 7 × 3 × 3mm. Integration provisions include an M2 bolt pattern on 12 × 12mm spacing and 24AWG wire specified at 16cm. The copper wire uses material specified as 260 °C military grade. Motor weight is 14.9g with short wire, a qualification relevant to the intended sub-250g aircraft mass budget.
