The CKESC ROCK 180A-H from Nanchang ChangKong Technology Co., Ltd. controls brushless motors in UAV propulsion systems. Its power stage uses low-resistance MOS devices, while shielded signal wiring and optically isolated input/output interfaces address electrical interference. The controller measures 144 × 66 × 22.4mm and weighs 339g including wiring, defining its physical integration envelope. Serial output provides supply voltage, motor speed, current, ESC temperature and debugging data for monitoring and setup.
Electrical integration requires a 12~26S supply and a 3.3~5V input signal. PWM is the listed communication interface, with a PWM+CAN version available as an option. The controller has no BEC. It accepts a 1000~2000us throttle range at 50~500Hz, with 100~400Hz recommended, and lists a 400ms throttle response time. Default firmware supports timing adjustment; a fixed version is optional, and maximum-power mode can be enabled. Standard ingress protection is IP54, with IP67 available through customization.
Current capacity is 90A continuously with specified cooling and 180A for three seconds. The operating ambient range is -20~+65°C. Above 115°C, thermal protection gradually reduces maximum power, potentially to 40% of full-throttle power, and restores power after cooling. Low-voltage protection is disabled by default but can be enabled through customization. Signal loss lasting 200ms initiates power reduction, taking throttle below 50% within 1~2 seconds before a slower shutdown. Stall recovery attempts a restart, although stalling at high throttle may damage the controller.
