Product overview

Livox Avia is a compact, 498 g LiDAR sensor intended for integration into mapping and sensing systems. Its applications include power infrastructure, forestry, mobile mapping and smart cities, with aerial surveying also described as a use case. The physical architecture combines simultaneous multi-beam laser scanning with a built-in IMU that continuously supplies spatial pose and acceleration data for subsequent processing. A board-side connector arrangement supports installation in systems where integration space is constrained.

Avia offers switchable repetitive and non-repetitive scanning, with a point-cloud data rate reaching 240,000 points/s across the two modes. Non-repetitive scanning provides a 70° field of view whose coverage increases with observation time, supporting dense scene capture. Repetitive scanning addresses mapping requirements such as power-tower inspection and forestry, while triple returns provide additional canopy and ground data. Detection range depends on ambient illumination: the sensor can reach 450 m in low-light conditions, including overcast weather and nighttime.

JOUAV JoLiDAR-LR22 LiDAR system

By JOUAV

JOUAV’s JoLiDAR-LR22 is a UAV LiDAR payload for surveying complex terrain and large areas. It combines laser scanning, inertial sensing, RGB imaging and onboard data acquisition. Procurement should confirm the delivered configuration, aircraft mounting and electrical provision, while treating published accuracy, range and density figures as condition-dependent manufacturer values.
