It develops and manufactures pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for aerial tourism, transport within cities, intercity travel, logistics and emergency firefighting. Its aircraft range includes the flagship EH216-S for human-carrying services and the VT35 for long-range and intercity applications.
The EH216-S has obtained a type certificate, production certificate and standard airworthiness certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China—the world's first such certificates for pilotless eVTOL aircraft—and is commercially operated under China's first Air Operator Certificates for human-carrying eVTOL services. EHang's in-house production base combines research and development, manufacturing and testing. As of August 2026, the company reported 90,000 or more safe flights across 23 countries.
