Company overview
Ursa Aeronautical was established in November 2017 and develops, produces, maintains and operates large unmanned aircraft systems, alongside providing training. Its principal product is the Hongyan (HY100), which the company independently designs and manufactures and for which it owns the intellectual property. Its development activities include flight control systems, communications data links, flight management systems, and aircraft component design and manufacturing processes.
The HY100 is used for agricultural and forestry crop protection, logistics transport, emergency rescue, research platforms, and supply transport and airdrops. The system received Civil Aviation Administration of China design and production approval DPA0001 in November 2020, with commercial operations authorized in 2022. On April 29, 2026, it received type validation certificate UA001 from Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
