Product overview

The Team BlackSheep TBS Tracer Nano Rx is a compact radio-control receiver for FPV racing drones, planes, helicopters, cars and boats. It combines antenna diversity with a 250 Hz radio and telemetry link operating from 2400 to 2480 MHz, with a stated end-to-end latency of 3 ms. The receiver weighs 0.5 g and measures 11 mm high, 18 mm wide and 11 mm long. It requires a 5 V input, supports 12 channels, uses CRSF as its signal format, and offers CRSF, SBUS, PPM and PWM outputs.

MAVLink integration requires configuring the receiver output map for MAVLink TX/RX, with transmit options on pins 1 and 4 and receive options on pins 2 and 3, and enabling the flight-controller port. The MAVLink-over-WiFi setup calls for MAVLink-capable flight-controller firmware, a CROSSFIRE/TRACER transmitter with a WiFi module, transmitter firmware 4.11 beta or later, and WiFi firmware 2.04 or later. WiFi and receiver telemetry must be active. The computer must share the transmitter's network or connect directly to its access point, using ground-control software such as Mission Planner or QGroundControl. CROSSFIRE/TRACER firmware 6.09 or later requires 115200 baud.

BetaFlight and iNav can use CRSF for live telemetry, but users must cancel the ground-control software's parameter-retrieval dialog because retrieval will not complete; telemetry continues to arrive. With non-MAVLink flight-controller firmware, CRSF is required for radio-control data and LUA support alongside a MAVLink connection. Ground-control connections use TCP with WiFi firmware 2.03 or later, or UDP below 2.03, on default port 8888. For CROSSFIRE connections to MAVLink firmware, the initial parameter download requires a dynamic or forced 150 Hz RF profile to avoid potential timeouts in 50 Hz mode; regular settings can resume after parameters load.
