Product overview
The RadioLink R12FL combines a 12-channel receiver, steering gyroscope and light controller in one integration component. It accepts 2.4GHz radio commands and connects directly to servos, ESCs and lighting modules, while SBUS and bidirectional CRSF provide flight-controller interfaces. SBUS carries up to 16 channels over one signal wire; CRSF also receives telemetry. The supplied receiver package contains one R12FL, an EXT connection cable, cables for CrossFlight RC IN and TELEM1 ports, and a packaging bag.
For model cars and boats, the R12FL combines steering stabilization with automatic steering- and throttle-linked lighting. Eight default light outputs cover turn signals, headlights, tail lights, hazards, strobe, breathing effects and power indication, with transmitter customization for selected effects. Control range is 500 meters on water or land, and selectable response speeds are 3ms, 4ms and 14ms. Telemetry includes RSSI, receiver voltage and main battery voltage, with battery monitoring up to 14S (60V) without an external voltage telemetry module. Subsidiary IDs support selection among multiple bound receivers.
The 3–12V input supplies both servos and lights through internally connected positive rails, so lighting must tolerate any voltage increase for high-voltage servos; 5V is recommended. Servo connections have electronic reverse-polarity protection. Up to 16-channel signal output requires a T16D or T12D transmitter with FHSS V2.1 selected. Control of servos from 0 to 270 degrees currently requires one of those transmitters and enabling the 270-degree servo control switch. Type-C supports firmware upgrades and simulator use on macOS or Windows, with no external power supply needed for simulator operation.
