Product overview
The T-MOTOR V40A 14S is a FOC electronic speed controller for UAV propulsion. It measures 62 × 30 × 18mm (L × W × H) and has separate input, output, signal and encoder cables. Its input cable uses red/black 14AWG silicone wire measuring 150mm, while the output uses orange 16AWG silicone wire measuring 65mm. Both the shielded signal cable and shielded encoder cable measure 300mm; the encoder cable uses 24AWG wiring and an M6 aviation connector.
The controller supports PWM/CAN and an 18–60V (6–14S) supply. Continuous current is 20A, with a 40A peak rating for durations below 10 seconds. Its throttle position range is 1040–1940μs, throttle refresh frequency is 50–500Hz, and throttle response speed is 300ms. Standby consumption is ≤50mA at 48V, and there is no BEC. Weight including cables is 69g; additional ESC weight figures are 50g excluding cable and 68g. The product is an ESC component with cabling.
