Product overview

The T-MOTOR ALPHA 120A 12S FOC Multi-Rotor UAVs ESC is a propulsion motor controller supplied as one ESC with a hardware kit. The unit measures 110*55*25mm (L*W*H), weighs 359.5g including cables and has an ultralight shell. Its connections include PVC signal and programming cables with JP 3P male connectors, three 75MM 12AWG motor wires and 130MM red/black 12AWG power wiring. Listed motor matches are U12II-KV120, U13II-KV130 and MN1010-KV90. Users can program the controller with Alpha Data Link.

The controller supports 6-12S LiPo batteries, with an 18-50.4V specification under the 12S rating. Continuous current is 100A, and peak current is 120A for 10 seconds. Throttle input spans 1100-1940μs with a 500Hz refresh frequency. Response takes 500ms at initial startup and 150ms afterwards, while standby consumption is ≤50mA. Active braking returns energy to the battery during deceleration. Protection covers short circuit, low voltage, overcurrent, motor lock-up and throttle loss. Ingress protection has conflicting ratings: IP55 in the housing protection description and IP67.
