The Scorpion HKII-2213 Shaft Kit is a replacement motor component for repairing a bent or broken shaft. Its integration space is the motor’s aluminum front housing, bearings and pinion interface. The HK-2213 shaft description gives a 4mm diameter, 50.7mm length and a pinion end reduced to 3.17 mm. A separate installation note describes the replacement shafts as 3mm throughout for conversion to 3mm pinions. These conflicting dimensions leave the kit’s exact shaft geometry unresolved.
Installation requires pressing the shaft out of the motor housing; releasing the setscrews alone does not allow it to slide free. A bearing press or drill press is specified, with the front housing supported in a wooden block to prevent warping. The shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel when necessary for another motor. Stock shafts are described as having a 3.175mm (1/8") output end and 3mm bearing sections. Weight including packaging is 4.56g.
