The Scorpion HK-4526 Shaft Kit XL (6mm 55mm) provides a factory replacement shaft for HK-4526 series helicopter motors when an existing shaft bends or breaks. This motor component uses hardened steel and an extended shaft geometry: the main diameter is 8mm and the overall length is 116mm. A reduced 6mm section at the pinion end accommodates 6mm pinion gears. The kit’s stated weight is 52.8g including packaging, rather than a separate bare-shaft weight.
Fit in another brushless motor depends on that motor accepting an 8mm shaft of the same length. Where a shorter shaft is needed, length adjustment is possible using a Dremel fitted with a cut-off wheel. Shaft removal from a Scorpion motor requires attention to its slight interference fit within the aluminum front housing: loosening the setscrews is insufficient. A bearing press or drill press supplies the removal force, while a wood block must support the housing against distortion.
