Product overview
The Scorpion HK-4035 Shaft Kit (6mm 30mm) provides a factory replacement shaft for all HK-4035 series helicopter motors, addressing shaft damage such as bending or breakage after a landing. Its hardened steel shaft has an 8mm main diameter and a stated overall length of 94.7mm. The pinion end is ground down to 6mm for installation of 6mm pinion gears. The supplied configuration consists of one HK4035 motor shaft, one washer and two C-clips; weight including packaging is 37.26g.
Integration depends on both shaft dimensions and the motor’s mechanical arrangement. Other brushless motors can accept the kit where they require a 6mm shaft of this length, and the shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel if necessary. In Scorpion motors, the shaft is a slight press fit into the aluminum front housing. Removing the setscrews alone will not release it: extraction requires a bearing press or drill press, with the front housing supported in a wooden block to prevent warping.
