The Scorpion HK-2520-1580KV motor (3.5mm shaft) is a brushless propulsion component developed for 450 class electric helicopters using 6-cell Li-Po power, such as WARP 360. Its electromagnetic assembly combines a 25.0 mm stator diameter, 20.0 mm stator thickness, 12 stator arms and 10 magnet poles. A 9 Turn Delta winding uses 10-Strand 0.25mm wire. Maximum continuous current and power are 34 Amps and 715 Watts; peak ratings of 45A and 945 Watts each apply for 2 seconds. The maximum battery configuration is 6s Li-Po. The supplied motor package contains one Scorpion HK-2520-1580KV motor, three female connectors, three pieces of heat shrink and four M3 screws. Weight including packaging is 122g. Installation requires sufficient clearance between the pinion and main gear to prevent binding. Bearings need periodic maintenance and replacement, with a small drop of oil applied to each bearing every 5-6 flights. The 2-Year warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship but excludes bearings and subsequent motor damage caused by bearing failure.
