The Scorpion A2-6518-180kv is a brushless propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV airplanes. It serves airframes requiring a 40cc-equivalent gas engine on 14s LiPo, or other applications requiring up to 5500w. Its construction combines optimized rotor magnets, 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and enamel-coated copper windings rated above 200C+. The stator measures 65 mm in diameter and 18 mm thick, with 12 stator arms and 14 magnet poles. Electrical specifications include a 10+11T Delta winding and a motor constant of 180 RPM / Volt.
Installation space must accommodate a 77.1 mm x 54.5mm motor body plus an 18mm prop spacer, with a 10mm external shaft. Recommended propellers are 21x10 Carbon or 22x10 Carbon on 14s, and 23x10 or 24x10 Carbon on 12s. A 12s setup with a larger propeller supports high-thrust, lower-power applications. The maximum rated LiPo cell count is 14s, with higher cell counts possible using smaller propellers.
