The Scorpion A2-5017 PNP Combo (6s / 67-68" Acro / 25cc / 3150w) is an electric propulsion package for 67–68-inch aerobatic airplanes and other models requiring up to 3150w on a 6s LiPo battery. It combines an A2-series motor, a preprogrammed Tribunus III ESC, a cross mount and an 18x8 carbon-fiber propeller. This is a propulsion component kit rather than a flight platform or airframe kit. The recommended battery configuration is 6s 4500mah–5500mah, and the complete motor, ESC, cross mount and propeller assembly weighs 680g.
Installation space must accommodate the motor's 59.6mm x 43.9mm body and additional 10.0mm propeller spacer, together with the separate 39.0 x 79.0 x 29.0mm ESC. The motor has an 8mm external shaft, while the ESC uses M3 mounting bolts and 24.0 x 88.0mm mounting tabs. Standard and Acro cross mounts are offered. The supplied accessories include two 600mm ESC/BEC cables, two locking straps and two M8 prop nuts. The box-content motor designation is A2-5015, creating a material designation discrepancy within the A2-5017 combo's supplied configuration.
The motor specifies 2250 Watts continuous power and 3150 Watts peak power, with corresponding current values of 90A and 140A. The ESC specifies 160 Amps maximum continuous current and 200 Amps peak current. The continuous-current qualification is 100% throttle for 60 seconds with 35m/s airflow. Its adjustable BEC provides 5.1V to 12.1V, with 15 Amps continuous output and a 30 Amps one-second peak at 8.1 V. Wood propellers are discouraged; the performance guarantee applies specifically to the supplied official Scorpion 18x8 Carbon propeller.
