The Scorpion A-6528-180kv V2 is a BLDC propulsion motor for 90–95-inch acrobatic airplanes and sport or UAV airplanes. Its aircraft weight ranges are 8.18–12.7kg for acrobatic use and 12.7–36kg for single-engine sport or UAV use. The motor combines a 65.0mm-diameter, 28mm-thick stator with 12 stator arms, 14 magnet poles and a 7T Delta winding. Construction uses 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and two strands of 1.18mm enamel-coated copper wire, with windings rated above 200C+.
Integration must accommodate a motor body measuring 78.5mm x 67.8mm, a 10mm external shaft and a weight of 1115g including the mount and prop mount accessories. The motor is designed for 24–26-inch propellers on a 12s battery, with 24x10E, 24x13E carbon, 25x10E and 26x8E recommended. Continuous ratings are 95A and 4218 Watts; peak current is 162A. Peak power of 7200 Watts applies to intermittent full-throttle usage ranging from 5–60 seconds depending on use case and cooling. Higher cell counts are possible with smaller propellers.
The supplied motor package contains one Scorpion A-6528 BLDC motor, one stock A-55/65 cross mount, four M4 cross mount mounting bolts, three female 6mm connectors, three pieces of heat shrink and three Scorpion stickers. Motor-only weight is 998g (35.20 oz), increasing to 1115g (39.33 oz) with the mount and prop mount accessories; packaged weight is 1490g. For controller selection, the recommended ESC is the Tribunus II+ 14-200A ESC SBEC. The package provides a propulsion component and mounting hardware for integration into an aircraft.
