Product overview
The Kimpok FOX-215A is an analog video transmitter accessory for long-range FPV aircraft integration. Its 1.2G radio covers 1080MHz–1360MHz across eight channels and delivers 1.5W output through an SMA antenna connection. The aluminum unit measures 75 × 40 × 15mm and weighs 79g, defining the space and mass allocation needed within the host aircraft. Applications include mapping, pipeline and power-line inspection, and search and rescue. Manual channel selection lets operators choose a less congested frequency and coordinate separate transmitters on non-overlapping channels.
Integration requires a DC12V@260mA supply and provision for substantial cooling: 1.5W operation produces significant heat, calls for a substantial heatsink and excellent airflow, and often needs a dedicated BEC. Video distances surpassing 15–20+ kilometers depend on ideal conditions and high-gain directional receiving antennas. Full antenna-system benefit also requires a correctly tuned transmitter antenna and a matched ground-receiver system. The supplied package contains the transmitter, manual, mounting accessories, and installation cables in foam-protected anti-static packaging. Operation at this power almost certainly requires amateur radio licensing in most countries, subject to local regulations.
