The GEPRC MATEN 5.8G 5W VTX PRO provides video transmission for FPV drone installations, with a built-in microphone adding real-time audio. Its five selectable transmission power levels run from 300mW to 5000mW, alongside Pit mode, and its frequency specification covers 4.9-5.8GHz across 80 channels. Integration controls include IRC Tramp support for parameter adjustment through OSD, plus a local function button and three indicator lights. The hardware is supplied as a VTX component with connection and mounting accessories.
A CNC aluminum alloy shell and built-in micro turbofan provide the physical cooling architecture. The unit measures 60×33.2×19.1mm and weighs 49.5g for the VTX alone, defining the space and component mass to accommodate within a build. Two M2 mounting patterns are provided: 20x20mm and 25.5×25.5mm. Electrical integration uses a sh1.25 six-pin cable connector and SMA antenna connector. Input power is DC7-36V from a 2-8S battery, while the auxiliary output supplies 5V@600mA exclusively for a camera or cooling fan.
The supplied configuration includes one transmitter, an SMA internal-pin to internal-socket connector, a sh1.25 6P connection cable, six M2*5 screws, six M2*6 screws and a manual. An antenna must be installed before use. Operation requires constant airflow and a well-ventilated environment to prevent overheating, with a cooling fan required in confined conditions. Temperature protection is built in, but those cooling requirements still apply. Battery input must never be connected to the 5V output because this will severely damage the transmitter.
