The GEPRC MATEN 5.8G 3W VTX PRO provides video transmission for an FPV drone, with a built-in microphone for real-time audio. Its dual-core architecture offers five selectable power levels from 25mW to 3000mW, plus Pit mode. The transmitter supports PAL/NTSC video and 80 channels across 4.9G-5.8G. Parameters can be adjusted through OSD using IRC Tramp, while a function adjustment button and three indicator lights provide local controls. This is a transmitter component supplied with installation accessories.
The enclosure uses high-strength CNC aluminum alloy, with a built-in micro turbofan providing active cooling. At 36.3×36.3×15.1mm and 21.1g, the module provides two mounting patterns: 20x20mm and 30.5×30.5mm, both using M2 fasteners. Integration connections comprise an MMCX antenna connector and an SH1.0 six-pin cable connector. Power input is DC7-36V for a 2-8S battery, and the auxiliary output is rated at 5V@600mA. That output is restricted to a camera or cooling fan; connecting battery input to it causes severe transmitter damage.
The supplied configuration includes one transmitter, an MMCX elbow copper tube antenna, an MMCX-to-SMA adapter with a center hole, and an SH1.0 6P connection cable. Mounting hardware comprises six M2*5 screws and six M2*12 screws. The antenna must be installed before use. Temperature protection is incorporated, but flight still requires constant airflow and a well-ventilated environment to prevent overheating. Operation in confined conditions requires installation of a cooling fan, making ventilation space a material consideration when arranging the transmitter within a build.
