Product overview
The K1303 is a micro brushless DC motor for small drones, quadcopters and FPV craft. It is supplied as a single propulsion component, not a complete aircraft or airframe kit. The motor measures 18.4 x 11 mm and weighs 8.2 g including its cables. It has a 3.0 mm shaft, a 9N12P configuration and 133 mm motor cables in 28 AWG wire. The propeller attaches with four M2*5 screws, and the motor uses a 9*9 mm mounting pattern with M2*4 screws. Rated power is 35 W.
The motor comes in two windings. The 5000KV version is specified for 14.8V (4S) and has a maximum pull of 210 g and a maximum current of 10.14 A. The 8000KV version is specified for 11.1V (3S) and has a maximum pull of 234 g and a maximum current of 17.84 A. For both versions the suggested ESC is 10A~20A and the suggested propeller is 2 inches.
Thrust data is given for 2040 and 2540 propellers at several supply voltages. Heavier loads raise the operating temperature considerably. The 5000KV motor on a 2540 propeller at about 14.8 V reached 78 ℃. The 8000KV motor on a 2540 propeller at about 11 V reached 80 ℃ and drew 18.24 A at 90% throttle. Efficiency in grams per watt was highest at 50% throttle in every test and generally fell as throttle increased.
