Product overview

The FlashHobby Arthur 70A 32Bit ESC controls brushless motors in multirotor, fixed-wing and helicopter applications, with optimization directed toward multirotor operation. Its 21 × 42 mm dimensions and 9.52 g net weight define the component footprint for aircraft integration. The controller combines BLHELI_32bit firmware with a 32-bit ARM Cortex STM32F051 processor running at 48 MHz and 2048-level throttle resolution. Electrical integration must accommodate its 3–6S working range. The continuous current rating is 70 A, while the higher 75 A burst rating applies only for periods of ten seconds or less.

The physical construction combines a thickened six-layer PCB, a low-internal-resistance MOSFET and a dedicated MOS driver chip. An aluminum sheet covers the MOSFET to provide cooling, and twisted-pair signal wiring is intended to reduce crosstalk. Double voltage protection covers the microcontroller hardware, driver circuit and MOSFET. Built-in sensing addresses temperature, output power and output current, with programmable protection available. A current meter supports current indication through an on-screen display, adding a current-reporting capability alongside the controller’s motor-control functions and protective features.

Supported control signals include Dshot150/300/600/1200, PWM, Oneshot125/42 and Multishot, with Damped Mode also supported. PWM input frequency extends up to 500 Hz. The signal wire provides access for firmware upgrades and configuration changes. Programming with a USB linker enables forward and reverse throttle, bidirectional operation, FPV 3D mode, motor speed, braking and PWM-frequency settings. The onboard RGB LED has configurable color, and beep settings are also programmable. These adjustment capabilities depend on USB-linker use; the controller’s operating range and burst-duration limit remain constraints when selecting it for an aircraft propulsion system.
