Product overview

The Scorpion HKIII-5025 Shaft Kit XL (6mm 44mm) provides a factory replacement shaft for all HK-5025 series Scorpion helicopter motors when an existing shaft bends or breaks. The extended shaft has a 10mm body diameter and a length of 105mm. Its pinion end is ground down to 6mm to accommodate 6mm pinion gears. The kit also fits other brushless motors that require a 10mm shaft of this length, making those dimensions specific requirements for integration.

Where another motor requires a shorter shaft, the shaft can be shortened using a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel. In Scorpion motors, it sits in the aluminum front housing with a slight press fit, so releasing the setscrews alone does not free it. Removal requires a bearing press or drill press, with the front housing supported in a block of wood to prevent warping. The kit weighs 54g including packaging.
