Product overview

The CUAV NEO 4 Nano is a compact navigation peripheral for unmanned systems. Its 34 × 20 × 14.5 mm body weighs 10.6 g, making it suitable for integration where installation space and component mass are constrained. The module combines a u-blox MIA-M10Q satellite receiver, an STM32H5 processor with a 250 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 core, and an ST IIS2MDC electronic compass. Its receiving architecture incorporates a TCXO, dual-channel low-noise amplification and SAW filtering.

Navigation supports concurrent reception from BDS, Galileo, GLONASS and GPS, with SBAS augmentation and QZSS L1S support. The update-rate limit depends on receiver configuration: up to 10 Hz with four concurrent GNSS systems, or up to 25 Hz with a single GNSS system. Horizontal position accuracy is 1.5 m CEP. Acquisition times are 27 seconds for a cold start and 1 second for either a hot or aided start. The compass detects magnetic fields up to ±50 Gs and includes temperature offset compensation.

Integration uses DroneCAN through a GHR-04V-S data interface, with support for ArduPilot and PX4. CUAV M4C GNSS firmware supports upgrades and customized development. The hardware includes an eight-channel RGB status light group, a passive buzzer and a physical safety button; indications cover controller unlock, battery, positioning and fault status. Procurement concerns the GNSS module as an integrated navigation component. Electrical and environmental integration must accommodate its 4.5–5.4 V input range and operating temperatures from -10 to +80 °C.
