The Autel Robotics L20T is a three-axis camera gimbal compatible with Dragonfish Standard and Dragonfish Pro aircraft. It combines wide-angle, zoom and thermal cameras with a laser rangefinder for aerial observation in daylight or darkness. The 886 g payload uses a quick-release interface and supports continuous yaw rotation. The wider Dragonfish platform serves civilian applications including energy inspection, forest-fire prevention, traffic inspection and emergency management; these are platform applications rather than separately established capabilities of the L20T.

The zoom camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor and provides 20× optical zoom, with 3840×2160 video at 30 fps. Thermal imaging provides 640×512 photographs and video at 25 fps, alongside center, point and area temperature measurement and configurable area temperature alarms. Measurement ranges are -20°C to +150°C in high-gain mode and 0°C to +550°C in low-gain mode. Specified accuracy is ±3°C or ±3% of the reading, whichever is greater, when observing a laboratory blackbody at 4 m under 25°C laboratory conditions, with ambient operating temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.

The laser rangefinder covers 10–1,200 m. The gimbal operates from -20°C to +50°C and has an IP43 protection rating that may become ineffective through prolonged aging and wear. Dragonfish Pro with the L20T has a stated maximum flight time of 179 minutes. The endurance test used windless conditions without other flight interference, obstacle avoidance set to brake, and a camera taking still photographs only. The aircraft flew continuously forward at sea level at 8 m/s until remaining battery charge reached 0%. Environment, usage and firmware can affect the result, so this figure applies to a specific test configuration rather than every Dragonfish installation.
