The AheadX ATS UAV Automatic Tracking Data Link automatically directs its antenna toward a UAV to support communications. Its integrated satellite and inertial navigation system senses the unit's position, attitude and velocity, allowing operation after power-up without leveling the support or manually entering position parameters. For UAV operations from vehicles or ships, ATS compensates for changes in the carrier's attitude and adjusts the antenna's direction as the platform moves. Its stabilized mount provides 360° continuous horizontal rotation and 180° vertical adjustment, with tracking optimized for UAV flights directly overhead.
ATS has a stated IP65 protection rating against dust and rain. Its integrated design allows deployment within one minute without extensive assembly or disassembly, and it comes with a portable transport case described as meeting air transport standards. Using 3D terrain maps, the system can detect communication blind spots and mark them in gray for the current mission. The control interface displays operating status, supports quick mode changes and provides keyboard shortcuts for abnormal situations. ATS supports all AheadX UAV and flight-control products; the standard version has a stated communication range of 40KM, with other versions available as options.
