AheadX Tech (Beijing) Co., Ltd. develops flight control and navigation technology for unmanned aircraft using MEMS sensors. Its predecessor, the UAV business department of Beijing up-tech technology Co., Ltd., was known as iFLYUAS, whose flight control work dates to 2004 and spans fixed-wing aircraft, airships, helicopters, ducted fan craft and multirotors.
AheadX’s range includes the ATS automatic tracking data link for UAVs. Its flight control systems integrate with compatible payload pods for reconnaissance and surveillance. Other documented applications include pipeline inspection, education and training from simulation through practical flight training, and large-scale mapping with multiple aircraft across block-shaped and strip-shaped survey areas. The company and its core team have also participated in equipment development and production, three scientific expedition and UAV investigation trips to the South Pole, and research into adapting avionics standards.
