Chengdu Bobei Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 2016 and based in Sichuan, China, develops unmanned systems for scientific research, teaching and industrial inspection. Its technology covers flight control modeling, path planning, visual recognition, mapping and localization. The company’s ecosystem centers on the Prometheus autonomous drone open-source project, supported by software and hardware tools and a technical community. Its hardware range includes P series and SU17 research drone platforms, complemented by teaching and application solutions. Through AMOV Lab, it combines aircraft hardware, control systems and application software to support research and civilian inspection work.
The SU17 Research Drone is an integrated quadrotor development platform developed by AMOV Lab over four years. It incorporates a self-developed flight controller, onboard computer, quad-camera visual SLAM system and image transmission module. Prometheus software supports multiple flight control modes, target recognition and tracking, and three-dimensional path planning. An optional MID360 3D LiDAR enables Fast-LIO-based laser SLAM; combined with the EGO-Swarm path planning algorithm, this configuration supports spatial mapping and dynamic obstacle avoidance. The accompanying Prometheus professional ground station supports algorithm validation and iterative development. Its carbon-fiber aircraft measures 442 × 388 × 174 mm without the protective cover.
The P450 Research Drone is a medium-wheelbase platform developed from the F410 basic flight platform for indoor and outdoor research. It can carry a stereo depth camera or electro-optical gimbal, working with the SpireCV vision library for target recognition, tracking and intelligent gimbal control. When fitted with 3D LiDAR, it supports Fast-LIO-based spatial mapping and, with EGO-Swarm path planning, obstacle avoidance during waypoint flight. The Prometheus Professional Ground Station provides visual displays, operation and dynamic parameter adjustment for further development. The black carbon-fiber platform measures 290 × 290 × 280 mm.
