The Yifei Zhineng Window-Breaking Fire Extinguishing Bomb is a mission payload for firefighting on high-rise floors above 100 m, beyond the stated 100 m maximum reach of conventional aerial ladder trucks. A laser aiming system or ranging sight supports breaking a glass curtain wall from 15–20 m before the extinguishing bomb is deployed. Following window breaking, atomized ultrafine dry powder can control a 500 m² fire area within 30 minutes. The operating approach is intended to reduce firefighters’ close exposure to high temperatures and dense smoke.
The payload’s hardware specifications include a 1.5m spray bar and a 30L water tank, together with a spray distance of 15-20m and a water-cup flow rate of 14L/min.
