Product overview

Wuxi Beiwei Sensing Technology’s IMU227 is a low-cost Modbus inertial measurement unit with gyroscope and accelerometer specifications. Its applications include unmanned aircraft, unmanned vessels, underwater robots, construction machinery, platform stabilization, automated guided vehicles, heavy trucks, autonomous driving and robotics. The unit measures L60 × W59 × H29 mm, and its mainboard measures L44 × W35 × H11 mm. Output options are RS232, RS485, TTL and Modbus. It accepts 9–36 V DC, samples at up to 500 Hz and provides temperature, dynamic and orthogonality compensation across an operating range of −40 to +85 °C.

At room temperature, gyroscope bias stability is less than 2°/h over 100 s and less than 20°/h over 10 s, both at 1σ. Angular random walk is less than 0.1 °/√h; bias repeatability is less than 50°/h at 1σ, and scale factor nonlinearity is ≤100 ppm at 1σ. The accelerometer has 0.01 mg resolution and 0.15 mg bias. At 25 °C, its bias stability is 0.001 mg over 100 s and 0.01 mg over 10 s, both at 1σ.
