Product overview

The Team BlackSheep TBS Crossfire Micro RX is an onboard receiver for the TBS CROSSFIRE two-way radio control system, developed for FPV flying. It receives commands from a compatible CROSSFIRE transmitter module and supplies control signals to a flight controller or other radio-controlled equipment. Its compact format suits installations where space and weight matter. The Micro RX is specified at 40 × 14 × 9.5 mm and 3.2 g, with a supply voltage of 4.5–8.4 V and an operating temperature range of 0–40°C.

Configuration depends on the receiver version. Micro RX V1 has one control output supporting PPM, SBUS or CRSF; its CRSF connection carries control signals only, while BST provides a separate telemetry interface. Micro RX V2 has four outputs, supports PWM, PPM, SBUS, MAVLink and CRSF, and provides both control and telemetry through CRSF. V2 also comes with a four-channel servo adapter. Integration requires matching the receiver output to the connected equipment’s supported protocol and configuring the output mapping accordingly.

The flexible antenna connects through U.FL and can be replaced after opening the heat-shrink covering. Antenna placement affects reception: metal, wiring and carbon structures can interfere with the link, and usable range depends on environmental conditions. Receiver LEDs distinguish a stable connection from signal loss; continuous red means no transmitter packets are arriving and failsafe is active. Failsafe can either stop output signals so a flight controller runs its own response, or apply previously stored control positions.
