The T-MOTOR V804 VTOL Propulsion Kit provides a motor and electronic speed controller for heavy-lift VTOL drone propulsion. Its supplied configuration pairs the V804 KV170 motor with the FLAME 180A 12S V2.0 ESC, with maximum thrust stated as 17kg. This is a propulsion component kit for integration into a UAV. The recommended G28×9.2 carbon fiber propeller is sold separately, so procurement of the motor and controller does not include that recommended propeller.
The motor combines high-temperature–resistant enamelled wire and curved magnets with a built-in centrifugal fan, addressing heat through both passive resistance and active cooling. The ESC supports 180A continuously and a 200A peak for 10 seconds, and incorporates overload, stall, and signal-loss protection. The recommended propeller has a gloss-finish carbon fiber construction intended for heavy payloads. Operating figures depend on the propeller and throttle setting; temperature measurements refer specifically to the motor surface after 10 minutes at 80% throttle.
