Product overview

The T-MOTOR ALPHA 60A 12S V1.2 is a field-oriented control (FOC) electronic speed controller for multirotor drones. T-MOTOR describes low noise, fast response and high efficiency, together with faster response, lower pulse current and steady startup compared with traditional square-wave driving. Its protection functions cover overcurrent, motor lock-up, short circuits and low voltage. The package includes one ALPHA 60A 12S V1.2 ESC and one hardware kit for integration into a drone propulsion system.

The ESC supports 18–50.4 V under its 12S designation and has a continuous current rating of 60 A, with an 80 A peak rating for 10 seconds. It has no BEC. The throttle position range is 1100–1940 μs, the throttle refresh frequency is 500 Hz and the specified throttle response speed is 300 ms. Standby consumption is at most 50 mA. Dimensions are 78.7 × 32.5 × 16.2 mm in length, width and height order, and weight is 73 g including cables.

Connections include red and black 14 AWG silicone power leads measuring 160 mm and three deep-orange 16 AWG silicone motor leads measuring 65 mm each. Separate PVC flat signal and programming cables use JP 3P male connectors. T-MOTOR asks users to specify their intended motor type for compatibility; its matching guide includes MN601-S KV170, MN605-S KV170, MN701-S KV135 and MN705-S KV125. End users can also program the ESC through Alpha Data Link.
