The Scorpion A2-7422-200kv is a BLDC propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV airplanes, including applications calling for a 70cc equivalent gas engine on 12s LiPo or up to 6900w of power. Its architecture combines a 74 mm diameter, 22 mm thick stator with 24 stator arms and 28 magnet poles. Construction uses 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and enamel coated copper windings rated above 200C+. That temperature rating applies to the winding material.
Installation space must accommodate an 86.5mm x 60.6mm motor body plus a 20mm prop spacer and a 10mm external shaft. Weight is 963.8g for the motor alone or 1128.4g with mounting accessories. The supplied package contains the motor, cross mount, prop mount, three female 6mm bullets, stickers and an accessory hardware pack. Scorpion recommends 24x10 or 25x10 carbon propellers for 12s and a Tribunus III 14-150A ESC SBEC. Peak output of 6900 Watts is limited to intermittent full throttle periods of 10–180 seconds, depending on use and cooling; continuous current is subject to power reduction factors.
