Product overview
The SIYI ZT6 combines an optical camera and a thermal imaging sensor in a miniature, lightweight gimbal pod. Its integrated sensor configuration supports heat-source detection, temperature measurement and visual observation. Thermal imaging delivers 640 × 512 resolution at 30 fps, with full-image, box and point thermometry and temperature measurement through touch interaction with infrared images. The optical camera uses a 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor and supports 4K recording and photography alongside 6× digital zoom. Additional imaging functions include infrared zoom, synchronized zoom and split-image video.
Integration options cover both aircraft and robotic vehicles. Mounting the gimbal on an aircraft nose at 90° to the horizon automatically activates nose mode, supporting installation on VTOL aircraft and planes. Inverting the unit activates upside-down mode for mounting on vehicles such as UGVs, USVs and robotic platforms. Control interfaces include S.Bus switches and dials, Ethernet touchscreen control, UDP/TCP commands through the SIYI gimbal SDK, and UART control through the SDK or ArduPilot and PX4 MAVLink protocols. Video output options are Ethernet, HDMI and CVBS.
The yaw mechanism offers a 540° rotation range for surrounding observation. Follow mode tracks horizontal aircraft rotation, lock mode holds the horizontal viewing direction independently of that rotation, and FPV mode moves with aircraft roll. Three-axis stabilization combines gyroscopes, accelerometers, PID controllers, motors and magnetic encoders, supported by IMU calibration, attitude fusion and FOC motor control. Captured pictures can carry GPS location and time attributes. Thermal focal length has conflicting specifications of 13 mm and 19 mm, leaving that optical characteristic unresolved for procurement.
