Product overview
The SS-LD-AS02 is a solid-state LiDAR sensor from Shenzhen SMiTSense Technology Co., Ltd., intended for drone sensing and other civilian applications. It combines hybrid-stacked integrated single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technology with VCSEL lasers and uses direct Time-of-Flight (dToF) ranging to produce 3D images. The sensor weighs 7 g and measures 30 × 20 × 10 mm. Its supported applications include drone altitude hold and leveling, assisted focusing, security surveillance, navigation and obstacle avoidance.
SMiTSense develops intelligent sensing products and solutions, focusing on LiDAR, flexible pressure sensors and other smart sensors. Its AS series of solid-state LiDAR was developed specifically for drone applications and uses hybrid-stacked integrated SPAD technology for distance measurement in lightweight hardware. Combined with the company's AI algorithms, the series can capture and identify objects or human movement trajectories within its detection range, supporting drone altitude hold, leveling, assisted focusing, security monitoring, navigation and obstacle avoidance.
