The DolphinRC Shadow X5 inch FPV Frame Kit is an airframe kit for 5-inch FPV racing builds. Its Wide X structure combines T700 carbon fiber plates with a 7075-T6 aluminum middle plate and standoffs. Wide arm contact areas, an embedded structural interface and quick-release arms define its construction and maintenance access. Genuine YFS 12.9-grade screws include motor mounting hardware. The frame has a 191mm wheelbase and measures 146 × 160 × 68mm including the shark fin; its 51±0.1g weight excludes printed parts.
Electronics integration allows a 14mm camera and flight stack and VTX mounting areas of up to 40 × 40mm, each with 20 × 20mm hole spacing and ∅3mm holes. Internal flight stack mounting height is 23mm. The frame supports the HD ZERO VTX system, with recommended components comprising 2207 or 2306 motors, 5-5.1 inch propellers and a 1250-1450mAh 6S battery. Purchase configurations comprise the frame, frame with arms, or frame with four purple or red motors.
The frame kit includes one Shadow frame, 55° and 58° camera mounts, two battery anti-slip pads, a screw pack, an M15*270mm custom Kevlar strap, a black dust strap and a printed dust strap. Open-source camera mount designs provide a wider 50-60° range in 1° increments. The Stack Saver uses an elastic protective strap to block grass, mud, gravel and broken propeller fragments around the flight stack, with tool-free installation and removal. These supplied accessories support assembly of the racing airframe.
